About Us

Our Mission

The Santa Fe Sentinel is Santa Fe College’s only student-run newspaper. We are a biweekly online newspaper that hosts to over 17,000 students at seven different campuses and to the University of Florida population as well. The Santa Fe Sentinel is part of the Executive Branch in Student Government at Santa Fe. Anyone who has a passion for journalism and/or photojournalism is encouraged to contact us. Contact information can be found in the Editorial category on the homepage. We encourage journalists from the University of Florida and Santa Fe to become part of our staff.

The purpose of the Sentinel is to provide the most up-to-date and high interest stories to the student body through a print and online publication.  Our meetings are from 11:00-11:30 every Monday in room S-126 at the North West campus.

Public Relations Team

The Santa Fe Sentinel Public Relations Team deals with bringing guest speakers to campus and promoting the Sentinel on and off campus. This group is geared towards students who have a passion for public relations, marketing and advertising. Last semester we had three guest speakers come to campus including: WCJB Amanda Decker and David Snyder along with Melanie Ling from Gainesville CW-10. Please email sgnewspaper@sfcollege.edu for more information.
