Letter from the Editor – January

“Journalism is the first rough draft of history” – Unknown
Have you made your New Years resolution yet? At midnight on January 1st, I made one of my numerous resolutions to make the newspaper (extra)ordinary. For those of you who don’t know me, I served as the Business Editor for the newspaper last semester and I wrote for numerous publications including INsite Magazine and the Independent Alligator.
I am very excited to bring my creativity to the table and start the semester with a talented staff to produce a great paper. Beginning this January, the newspaper staff is planning on covering more high-interest stories and keeping an up-to-date website.
If you are interested in joining the paper I highly recommend sending an email to me at sgnewspaper@sfcollege.edu. Most students assume that they cannot join the newspaper staff unless they have experience, but that is incorrect. In fact, most students jumpstart their writing career at the Santa Fe Sentinel. If you are interested about learning more on how to get involved, come to one of our weekly meetings from 11:00-11:30 on Mondays in S-126. Can’t make the meetings? There are other ways to follow us!
